Lothar Riedl runs a film production company in Austria. He is involved in the creation of TV productions and he has more than 25 years’ experience. He produces documentaries for arte, ATV, BBC, Bayerischer Rundfunk, NDR, and ORF among others. As a lecturer at the the University of Applied Sciences in the department of media and digital technology, he has a certain passion for mentoring and sharing his business knowledge.
Diego Muraca has been looking for a host in order to improve his skills and realize his dream: to run his own visual design studio. His enthusiasm for art and technology turned out to be the perfect building blocks for the successful journey both had together.
Diego and Lothar achieved a broad range of targets. The objectives of the program were fully met: It allowed an international exchange and both profited from inspiring input.
Diego did great TV camera work and completed two TV editing projects as well as creating landing pages and animation films. Furthermore, he created Italian and Spanish versions of the biopic “one of us.” One of the highlights of this cooperation is that his version “uno di noir” will probably be screened at the Austrian Embassy in Rome. “For me the objectives of the program have been fully met – it is definitely economically profitable for both sides, but also allows an exchange across language barriers that would otherwise hardly be possible with this intensity and cultural depth,” says Lothar.
